Individually, tigers are larger and have a reputation for being man-eaters in some countries. However, lions tend to hunt in groups while tigers are more solitary and rarely encountered in groups larger than two.

Lions do not usually hunt people, but some (usually males) seem to seek out human prey.^[1] Although humans are not regular prey for tigers, they have killed more people than any other cat, particularly in areas where population growth, logging, and farming have put pressure on tiger habitats.^[2]

Given number of human victims, reputation, and size, the tiger is probably more dangerous.
