my sewage piping from basement sewage pit is 8 feet vertical plus 10 feet horizontal to the main outlet piping.... to reduce the vibration and banging of water hammer effect, can I install 2 check valves in series -- one above sewage pump and the other one at 8 feet above it near the joint of vertical and horizontal pipes?

This piping is of PVC with 2.5' diameter -- thus water hammer arrestors won't fit in!?
