  • Does drinking alcohol in pregnancy affect my unborn baby?
answered 9 hours ago by View user pageJozef Audio
    Answer
If you are seriously asking this question please do the rest of us a favor AND DON'T HAVE KIDS!!!

If you drink, your fetus (unborn baby) drinks too.

DRINKING too much while pregnant chemically alters the fetus's DNA and changes gene activity.

When a pregnant woman drinks excessively, fetal alcohol syndrome can do permanent damage to her child. Suyinn Chong at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in Herston, Australia, wondered whether "epigenetic" chemical changes to DNA - changes not in the genetic code itself but in the activity of certain genes - might be to blame.

Chong's team bred mice with genes for brown and yellow fur that are known to be modified by epigenetics. The offspring of mothers that drank alcohol were brown more often than you would expect from their DNA alone, indicating that alcohol had altered fetal gene activity.Invalid tag extension name: ref

  • Is marijuana good?
answered 1 day ago by a curious user
    Answer
:* Good is a vague question. Good many mean makes me feel good, good may imply taking this substance gives me pleasure, good may imply marijuana is good because it takes my mind of all these problems...

    • This is a somewhat inward looking and selfish definition of good for it asks what can marijuana do for me.

Let's ask What can marijuana do to me

until the last decade or so, most psychiatrists regarded cannabis as essentially benign.

This, however, is at odds with recent research which concludes that in a susceptible minority, cannabis use can push the brain towards long-term psychosis requiring mental health treatment. Susceptible young people who use cannabis increase their risk of developing a chronic psychotic disorder such as schizophrenia, and the more cannabis they consume, the higher the risk.

dditionally, people with schizophrenia who have a history of cannabis use tend to go through their first breakdown up to five years earlier in life than those who do not use the drug. Psychotic patients who fail to give up cannabis experience more symptoms, more relapses and end up in hospital more often.<ref>New Scientist, 23 January 2010, page 22</ref>

  • How do i fake a pregnancy test?
answered 2 days ago by a curious user
    Answer
have a pregnant friend help you.

it is very wrong to lie about creating a life - make sure you think fully about the consequences of your actions before you get caught in a horrible lie. Babies are very expensive, time consuming, and they require a lot of love. make sure you are mature enough to begin contemplating this stage of your life. A baby will never make a guy love you more - he may marry you, but why would you want to start a relationship on a lie (and yes, he would find out the truth very quickly.)

  • Easy food to lose weight in 10 days?
answered 2 days ago by a curious user
    Answer

Fast weight loss is very dangerous. The AMA suggests that an adult lose no more than two pounds per week. Make sure to consume at least 1400 calories a day unless explicitly instructed otherwise by a doctor or nutritionist.

Losing weight is not simply a matter of what foods you choose to eat. If you really want to lose weight, you need to exercise. Adults should get 3+ hours of cardio per week (from activities such as hiking, running, walking, or swimming), ideally working out for some time each day. The reason exercise is so important to weight loss is, quite simply, that it not only consumes calories, but encourages your body to keep burning calories long after you've finished your workout routine.

If you already exercise, try adding some weight-bearing activities to your regimen. Do NOT try and behave as if your are in pique physical condition: work INTO a routine.

Finally, try replacing portions of meat, dairy, and sugar in your diet with fibrous foods. Digesting celery technically BURNS more calories than it supplies, meaning celery helps you lose weight and snack without guilt. Moreover, since celery is a fiber-rich food, it fills you up. Unsweetened pickles are another zero-calorie food. (there is actually no such thing as 'negative calorie food' the only thing that is 'zero calorie' is water. all food has calories - you burn calories while chewing and digesting, but it never burns more calories than the food eaten.)

When changing your diet, be smart. Your body is a system that learns to function based on your behaviors. Suddenly switching from a sedentary lifestyle with a high-fat, low-fiber diet to a high-activity, low-fat diet can seriously hurt you. If you're serious about weight loss, you should talk to your doctor/nutritionist to ensure you get enough protein and carbohydrate to support your exercise.

If you really want to keep it simple, you can just eliminate prepackaged foods (there are tons of "mystery" ingredients in them) and focus on the produce department.

Trying to lose weight too fast is dangerous. speed up your metabolism

  • What causes difficult breathing?
answered 6 days ago by View user pageOguny
    Answer

Difficult breathing is caused either by a compromised air entry or inefficient perfusion or exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide gases in the lungs. All these may arise due to a multiplicity of factors ranging from mechanical obstruction of the air way like in choking to diseases or injuries involving the lung tissue. As such, oxygen debt arises in the body which oftenly leads to panting or gasping.
