According to wikipedia, Shy-Drager is a form of Multiple System Atrophy, which in turn is part of a spectrum of diseases known as Parkinson-plus syndromes. Literature suggests that at least some of these disorders may be variants of Alzheimer's. When I talked about this with my own doctor, he said "They're not clear on that". I also recently learned the herpes family of viruses may be linked to Alzheimer's and possibly Pick's disease--Robert Treat 19:21, 7 June 2009 (UTC).
