Photos can be "burned", or written, to a blank CD or DVD, which can be purchased at many retail stores. To "burn" these images to a disk, you only need to complete a few simple steps. First, go to the folder where your pictures are. Then open up the CD or DVD drive, place the disk in, and close the drive. Once the computer sees the disk (after a few seconds), go to your My Computer in the Start Menu and double-click the CD (for Windows), or double-click the disk on the desktop (for Mac). Then simply "drag" the images or folders of images from where they are to the empty area on the CD that you just opened.
Finally, when you are done moving the pictures, find the "Burn" option on the CD window. The computer might ask you a few questions, and the pictures will be saved to the disk for you to share within minutes.
- Note*: You may need to use multiple disks, or settle with an option like a flash drive or another type of storage that you can save the pictures on, if you have more than the one disk will fit. DVDs can hold more than CDs. +R and -R can only be written to once, but +RW or -RW can be erased (losing what is on the disk!), allowing you to put something else on the disk.
