With the current Karoshi (5.2) we have inherited from PCLinuxOS the fact that to install on a VMware virtual server you must choose 'IDE' as the hard drive type. This can be found if you choose 'custom' when first setting up the virtual drive.

You can also install Karoshi on a scsi drive if you change the controller from LSI to Buslogic.
