"Well, first of all, you'll need to be right next to your wireless router, I can't stress that enough. Essentially, the process is simple: Go on the GTS and put the Pokemon you want to clone up for trade (Make sure it's for something that's unreasonable, like a level 100 Pidgey or else the game will automatically trade it away!) and let it begin the transfer. Here's where it gets tricky. Some people will tell you to count the number of revolutions of the circle in the corner as it's going in, but this is not a sure-fire way of doing it as it really depends on how close you are to your router and I haven't found that that works really well without a formula of some sort. However, if you're next to your router, you should have an easier time. All you have to do is watch the lights blinking. The first set of blinks is the Pokemon being transferred onto the GTS. The second set of blinks will be the game pinging you with the data from the server, this is when you turn off your game. Turn it back on and you should still have the Pokemon where you transferred it from and it should also be on the GTS when you go to retrieve it."-Orko B
