Our lungs are designed to breathe in lungs, not carbon dioxide. Breathing in the chemicals can cause breathing difficulties, or lead to lung cancer if the problem persists. The lungs have cells and can poison the cells and start having one of them become cancerous, and then the next and so on.

It's best if you stay away from cities with environmental problems, but if you are, try to, I know it's bad, but try to stay indoors often so you don't breathe in the dangerous chemicals into your lungs.
