It takes the sun 27 days to rotate around it's axis. However, the rotation period is not the same everywhere - the equator and poles rotate at different speeds.

The Sun is stationary( does not move) the Earth and other planets orbit the Sun. This gives us the illussion of the Sun moving. Look I am an Earth Science Major, The Sun DOES NOT rotate at all. The Earth rotates around the Sun, the Moon rotates around the Earth. The Earth rotates at the SAME speed everywhere on the Planet. If you believe the Sun rotates, PLEASE inform the Scientific World as We haven't believed that since the 16th Century.
