Reaching up to 4 metres (13 ft) in total length and weighing up to 300 kilograms (660 pounds), the larger tiger subspecies are comparable in size to the biggest extinct felids.

There are many breeds of tigers and different ways to measure. "tall" could mean its height while standing on all four legs. However, "tall" could also be its length which may or may not include how far it stretches from tail to head, back paws to head or front paws, torso to head, etc.
