Spilled soda pop such as grape, orange and similar deep-colored drinks can leave horrible stains on fabric, especially if not immediately taken care of. If you have soda pop stains on your carpet or clothing, you can remove them by using products you probably already at home. Try this method to get rid of your soda pop stains, even if they have already soaked in.
Measure out and pour 3 cups of lukewarm water into a container.
Add 1 quarter cup of hydrogen peroxide to the water and mix well.
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle to make the application easier.
Spray a generous amount of the hydrogen peroxide and water mix directly onto the stain.
Allow the mixture to soak into the stain and set for 10 minutes.
Mix 3 quarter cup of cold water and 1 quarter cup of white vinegar together and rinse the stain with the vinegar mixture. Blot the area until it is dry.
Rinse the area with clear water and blot dry again.
SAFTEY TIPS: Try removing soda pop stains that aren't set in with boiling water..Instead of the hydrogen peroxide and water mixture, you can also use a mixture of 1 cup of lukewarm water and 1 tsp. of a mild ph-balanced detergent. Follow the directions in Steps 1 to 7 using this mixture instead of the hydrogen peroxide..Test a small unseen area of the stained fabric with any cleaner or stain treatment before using it on an exposed area.
