It will affect your system as soon as the THC is absorbed into the bloodstream via lungs capilaries. However, if you are asking how long it will remain in your system that is variable. It depends alot on your metabolism and body fat, THC is a fat soluble chemical. The usual timeframe is about 12-28 days. There are many detox products available both online and in most smoke shops. However, after 2 years of abstinance, it is likely that it will pass out of the system rather quickly as there has not been an ongoing introduction of THC to the system.
