sort of Yes and no. First off, anything in excess can be bad for you, including video games. In modest amounts done on a regular basis, studies have shown that videogames can increase coherence and can allow one to mentally adapt at a faster rate. In layman's terms, they can allow you think more quickly. On the other hand, there have also been studies that video games trigger a mechanism that increases the amount of dopamine (a chemical that helps produce feelings of motivation and reward) into the system, giving a similar effect to cocaine. Although, any actual effects caused by cocaine (addiction) probably will not occur in one unless one plays with video games for an extensive amount of time on a regular basis, thus leading back to my intial statement. I hope this anwers your question (and you may want to read over your question next time before posting it, as it was grammatically incorrect.)
