Important Discussion about Bots in Wikianswers Edit

Hello Grynd, as an admin of this wiki you have rights to give your opinion on a discussion regarding the use of bots in the wiki. Generally, the use of bots in Wikia is done in a separate user account after approval from the community. But recently, two admins were found to be running them from their main accounts without asking for permission. I believe that all admins in this wiki have the right to know what's happening in the wiki; and that their opinions are very valuable. At this point, a resolution has not been found, but perhaps with your help we can come to one. So, would you like to Join the Discussion? Vandalism in user pagesEdit

Hi! Most of you are already aware of the wave of vandalism in userpages we've been getting. I was thinking that perhaps protecting user pages (not talk pages) against unregistered users would be useful to keep them from vandalizing and moving them. I am thinking about sending a Special:Contact to take care of all of them. There really isn't any reason for an unregistered user to edit anyone's user page. I have raised a forum discussion here, for those who want to opt out. Please respond within a week if you disagree and you wont be included.
