Aboriginal refers to the original people from a place -- the "natives". There are hundreds of aboriginal languages on Earth. For every location or region where people have lived in groups, there is probably one or more language that is native to that place. Because of travel and communications technology many languages are dying out, and people are speaking more shared, and often non-native languages.
