Technically, all stars are white, including the sun; they emit light at all wavelengths. A star can be said to be "blue", "red", or "yellow" if it emits more light at those wavelengths. The Sun is called a "yellow dwarf" because it appears yellow to use, due to scattering of light in the atmosphere.
