The common Pantry moth, also known as Indianmeal moth, is an all-too-common house pest. Wikipedia has an short article, with a photo that I don't like because it's much darker than the moths I've seen; also there's no indication of size. In my experience, the moths are about 3/8" long. The light streak across their "shoulders" is quite noticeable when they're at rest, and is enough to distinguish them from the (smaller and even paler) clothes moth. eHow has a more comprehensive article, with advice on how to identify an infestation and suggestions on how to get rid of it.

Short of using pesticides, you have to basically starve them out. They live on starchy or sweet things....but I have even found infestations in herbal teas, bird seed, and an old wine bottle cork! They can inhabit the stores where you buy food, too - I've seen them flying in pet stores, and have definitely brought them home in flours or grains.

Throw out ALL infested food, and put everything they might like into closed glass containers with screw-on lids. The larvae will happily eat their way through plastic bags, so that's NOT a good storage solution (though eHow seems to feel that double bags will do it - I'm not so sure, myself). Then clean. Thoroughly. Repeatedly. Especially cracks (how about the cracks in drawers and behind shelves?)

And keep on watching for them, and get rid of them as they show up. Our house (built in 1914) came with them when we bought it over 30 years ago; I still have a few, but since discovering the infested wine cork and disposing of it, I have hopes that the population may go down.
