Colorectal cancer is a common form of cancer which arises in the large intestine, the last part of the gastro-intestinal tract. The majority of colon cancers are carcinomas, meaning that they arise from epilithical cells, but some can be adenocarcinomas, meaning that they come from glandular tissue. Colon cancer can be attained by malignant transformation of intestinal polyps, but may also be influenced by Age, Gender, Ulcerative colitis or Crohnns Disease'.
