Except for the size, there is not much difference. They are all carnivorous predators who have babies the same way. Untamed cats will do everything a tiger will do to survive.

Of course this involves limitations on size, while a tiger will hunt for large animals, the cat will hunt for animals relative to its size.

Because cats are fairly tiny, (the biggest cat being not bigger than a poodle dog) they are one of the top 5 preferred pets in many households throughout the world. Unfortunatly the cat dander and fur are 2 of the major allergys, limiting some cat lovers.
