prokaryotic ribosome is 70S type with small unit of 30S and large unit of 50S, and formed in the cytoplasm in the prokaryotic cell.On the other hand eukaryotic ribosome is 80S type with small unit of 40S and large unit of 60S, formed in the nucleolus.
