The Texas Coral Snake is usually 24 inches long but some can grow to 40 inches.

There is a huge variation in the size of snakes. The largest snake ever was the Titanoboa which was 12 to 15 metres long (40 to 50 ft). The largest snake that is not yet extinct is the Python reticulatus which can grow up to 9 metres long (30 ft).

The smallest extant snake is Leptotyphlops carlae which is only 10 centimetres (4 in) long.
