This may sound simplistic, but do you enjoy your own company? In other words, have you developed yourself as a human being, so that you can participate in conversations with others on an interesting level? Interesting people tend to attract others. Also, are you a giving person? Do you desire the company of others simply because you don't want to be alone or do you want to actively participate in human interaction (both giving and receiving of all that entails). Think about it.
